NOVI, Mich. – Michigan Jaguars FC is excited to announce the addition of a new branch to the club family. Starting in the 2019-20 season, LaSalle Stompers Soccer Club will join the organization as LaSalle Jaguars.
Based in Lasalle, Ontario, Canada, the club was founded in 1995 with the mission of serving every player in its community regardless of age or ability. The club has 1,700 players and 200 teams combined across its Recreational, Development and Competitive programs.
“After meeting with Mick and sharing our vision for our players we realized quickly that a partnership between our like-minded clubs was inevitable,” said Paul Tinnion, Executive Director of Michigan Jaguars. “I am excited about the future with Lasalle and working with Mick and his staff. This was a unique opportunity that we feel can be beneficial to players and teams in both organizations.”
“I am excited to see this partnership get moving,” said Mick McManus, Technical Director of Lasalle Stompers. “It will provide year-round developmental programs for us. Allowing our teams access and players opportunities to programs and levels that have previously not been available.”
The partnership will help both clubs further their missions of providing the best soccer experience possible to every player. The connection will also help open a new development pathway for youth soccer players in Ontario. Players in the LaSalle program will have access to MSDSL, Directors Academy, MSPSP, National League Conferences, U.S. Youth Soccer National League and the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
